Line up beginning at 5:30pm along Edenton Street, north of the State Capitol.

As the Children’s Celebration ends and the evening entertainment begins, mark the passage of time… from afternoon to evening… from old year to New Year… in the People’s Procession!

It’s a procession, and you’re invited to take part! The People’s Procession is as fundamental to First Night Raleigh as the giant Acorn. Join thousands of your friends and neighbors as you head around the Capitol and down Fayetteville Street with Rhea, created by the Paperhand Puppet Intervention.

The NC State University Pipes and Drums and YOU will help lead the way!

Procession Route: West on Edenton Street, south on Salisbury Street, east on Davie Street, south on Fayetteville Street.

Destination: Main Stage at City Plaza for the Early Countdown!
