A pioneer of modern hoop dance, Julia Hartsell has been hooping since 2001, Scott Crews has been drumming since 1993. In 2005, they met, fell in love and became Hoopdrum. Now married, Julia & Scott continue to play, perform, teach, learn, grow, create, and re-create together while falling only more deeply in love.
Together Julia & Scott have developed and created hoodrum camps, events, workshops, performances as well as Hoop Convergence, a multi-day, international hoop dancer’s conference. On a daily basis you can find them hooping and drumming, dancing, teaching lessons & classes, manifesting visions and playing with Prism, their rainbow boa.
