"Sun Ray" - A Tribute to Legendary Pianist Ray Bryant
Lenny Marcus (keyboards), Rick Eckberg (bass) and Peter Ingram (drums), with special guest Vladimir Espinosa (Percussion) deliver a cool mix of jazz standards and hot new original compositions. Lenny Marcus hails from Washington, DC, but he worked for many years in New Orleans, studying and performing with legends such as Ray Bryant, Ellis Marsalis, Alvin Batiste, and recording with David “Fathead” Newman, Charlie Byrd, Frank Foster, Sonny Fortune, Brian Lynch, Jane Powell and others. Peter Ingram has been a part of the Triangle area jazz scene for many years, including recording three albums with Group Sax. He has worked with jazz greats like Stan Getz, Clark Terry and Charlie Byrd.
