His live shows are expressive and come at the audience from many directions. Live controlled video elements are incorporated into the performances to create an immersive multimedia experience.

By day he is the composer, sound exhibit designer, and audio engineer for the NC Museum of Natural Sciences.

80 lb.Test

Based in Raleigh, NC, 80 lb.Test is the solo synth project of Doug Llewellyn.

80 lb.Test uses a variety of hardware synths, controllers, and virtual synths to create anything from lush, ambient washes to frenetic pulsing sequences, to meandering sonic doodles.

Mostly based on loosely structured songs, Doug will often stray into uncharted territory, veering close to the musical ditch.
